Changes to Autodesk Product Upgrade policy -This is important!!

You’ll be hearing more about Autodesk changing the pricing structure and the Product Upgrade policy in the coming weeks. A brief summary is that “Upgrades will become more expensive” and “You won’t be able to Upgrade licenses more than 6 Versions back”

This is a significant change for Irish CAD Users who have previously relied on Upgrading every 4 or 5 releases.

As always, the cheapest means of owning your software asset over a number of years is to maintain it on subscription.

If you have older Autodesk Products, which are 6 versions old or more they will no longer be eligible for discounted upgrades after Feb 1, 2013.

This means in order to get the latest software release, you will need to purchase a new licence.

The new pricing model will provide upgrade paths for customers on 1-6 prior versions of Autodesk products, allowing for a 30% discount on these upgrade paths.

Customers with Software 7+ releases back will no longer be eligible for upgrade pricing.
